Description: Michael's personal collection of 21 books on the civil rights movement and black history. Some of them are signed by Michael or include notations. The titles include biographies of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and a copy of Lincoln's Devotional signed by Michael in black ink "Michael Jackson 1980 N.Y.C." as well as a copy of Without Santuary, with ten pages containing Michael's notations in blue pen including the underlining and bracketing of many passages as well as the words "Wow, Sad, Wrong, Hateful, and Sick written into the margins repeatedly. Part of the "Neverland Collection" ("Memorabilia From the Life and Career of Michael Jackson" catalog) auction that was to be held by Julien's Auctions April 14th-25th, 2009. The auction was halted by court injunction and never took place. All screen captures are the property of their respective owners. |
