Description: Framed, monochrome picture of 'The Book' - the famous portrait of MJ as a modern Renaissance Man by Australian Brett Livingstone Strong. Signed by Michael and Brett Livingstone Strong. "The Book' reportedly sold for $2.1 million to Hiromichi Saeki Corp in 1990, making it the most money every paid to a living artist for the sale of a portrait. This portrait is claimed to be the only portrait that Michael Jackson sat for an artist's rendering. Sold as item no. 4 at the Michael Jackson Save Japan Charity Auction in July 2011 along with six other memorablia items signed by Michael. Part of the proceeds were donated to the Ashinaga Ikueikai East Japan Earthquake And Tsunami Orphan's Fund. All pictures and screen captures are the property of their respective owners. |
