Description: An RIAA platinum record award presented to Michael to commemorate the sale of more than 1 million copies of the BAD LP and cassette in the USA. The framed display is signed in black sharpie marker “All My Love Michael Jackson 1998”. From Julien's Auctions: This item was a last minute addition to Sotheby's June 24, 1989 Collector's Carrousel auction and sold as lot 595. Jackson signed and donated this record award to recording industry executive Tony Martell, who auctioned a large collection of items off in this sale to benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research. A copy of the original Sotheby's invoice for the piece is included with this lot. Provenance: Sotheby's Collector's Carrousel June 24, 1989 lot 595 Sold by Julien's Auctions (Lot #306) for $27,500 at their 2009 Music Icons auction.
