Description:

Custom red wool "Sgt. Pepper" military style costume jacket featuring elaborate gold trim with round brass buttons and gold braided rope from the left epaulet. The jacket features a Bill Whitten Design label and is likely an early version of the more elaborate beaded jacket worn by Michael to the 1984 American Music Awards, also designed by Whitten.

Sold by Julien's Auctions (Lot #525) for $102,000 at their 2010 Music Icons auction. All screen captures are the property of their respective owners.
