Description:

Three-page handwritten letter from Michael written to William Pecchi Jr., written on Capitol Tokyu Hotel stationary from 1988. The letter is affectionately addressed to “Pecky.” Pecchi was to be the camera operator on Moonwalker, and was asked to travel with Michael during the BAD Tour. Pecchi rode to and from concert venues to capture the crowd's reaction to MJ.

After one such trip, Michael wrote this personal letter, which discusses Michael's goals for Moonwalker, encouragement to Pecchi, reactions to conversations about racism and Jackson's vision of the world, and is signed "I'm glad God chose me and you.  Love M.J."

Sold by Julien's Auctions (Lot #31) for $32,500 at their 2009 Music Icons auction.  All screen captures are the property of their respective owners.
