Description and aspects:

Movie: 4.5/5
It's hard to judge a film like this. Being a lifelong Michael Jackson fan, I'm certainly a bit biased. If you've never seen the film, Moonwalker is a collection of short films about Jackson, several of which are long-form music videos from Jackson's Bad album. In my opinion, the best parts of the film include the incredibly creative "Leave Me Alone" segment and the brilliantly choreographed and downright cool "Smooth Criminal" segment.

Moonwalker probably won't appeal to non-fans, but for MJ's true fans, this is a real treat.

Video: 4.5/5
The original aspect ratio has been slightly cropped from 1:85:1 to 1:78:1. The last time I saw this film was on a fullscreen VHS tape many years ago, so it was VERY cool to see it in widescreen for the first time. Since the film is made up mostly of music videos and concert footage from the 1980s, I was surprised to see that the video quality was top notch. I didn't see this at the theater, but I suppose that the presentation on this blu-ray is very close to what it looked like on the big-screen. I didn't see any damage or evidence of digital noise reduction (DNR) or edge enhancement (EE). Film grain is heavy at times and detail is mostly high. As long as you don't expect this to look like a more recent film such as Avatar, you should be pleased with it. It looks how it should.

Fun Fact: You can see the wires holding up the dancers while they lean forward in the "Smooth Criminal" sequence. I can't be for sure, but I doubt that there was enough image resolution on the VHS to notice this.

Audio: 5/5
The DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track does Michael Jackson's music justice. It sounds incredible.

Language options include the original English (DTS-MA HD 5.1) along with French (Dolby 2.0), German (Dolby 2.0), Italian (Dolby 2.0), Spanish (Dolby 2.0), and Russian (Dolby 1.0).

Subtitles include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Russian, Swedish, and several others that my player didn't recognize. 25 in all.

Extras: 1/5
The only special feature is a trailer.
