Chess Master Golf Club Set Owned By Michael (Late 1970s)

Description:

A complete set of golf clubs owned by Michael contained in a brown personalized "Michael Jackson" golf bag.  The set of true temper dynamic clubs includes nine irons, four woods and a putter.  Each club is monogrammed "MJ."  These clubs were made for MJ in the late 1970s by the Chess Master Golf Co.  Accompanied by a brown plastic visor  that reads "Sun Shader," cracked in several places.  The clubs were acquired through a friend of the Jackson family and the Berry Gordy family.

Sold by Julien's Auctions (Lot #547) for $3,125 at their 2010 Icons & Idols auction.  All screen captures are the property of their respective owners.
